Board of Directors

Brian A. O’Callaghan, Founder

Brian’s love for lacrosse began as a child in Katonah, NY. He played with his brothers and friends in gyms, lawns, and sports fields all over the east coast. Brian played lacrosse at John Jay, Rippowam Cisqua, The Lawrenceville School, and Denison University. His wife Suzanne was an All-American lacrosse player in high school at GA and recently joined the board of Fox Lane Youth Lacrosse. Their three children all play lacrosse for Fox Lane and John Jay.

Brian and Suzanne started visiting Nantucket upon their births and are lucky to spend a lot of time on the island—one of the most beautiful and relaxing places in the world. FogLax perfectly fits into this incredible environment…

Brian is a sports enthusiast who believes that sports is a wonderful opportunity to learn, mature, practice sportsmanship, earn, be a good teammate, act selflessly, make friends, develop character, and always focus on your buddies and team. He believes that youth sports is too often an arms race, tempting parents and kids to focus on the wrong values. While FogLax is focused on preparing players for an excellent future in lacrosse, we hope they learn as much about life.

Matt Hanna, Advisor

Matt Hanna has spent his life surrounded by sports. The son of a football and lacrosse coach, Matt learned the impact sports can have on a young person’s life first hand, and now passes it along to members of Next One Up, a non-profit that Hanna Founded and holds the position of Executive Director.

Next One Up pushes boys in Baltimore City to embrace sports as a vehicle for change. When synced with academic performance, community service and leadership development, Next One Up is redefining the meaning of “student-athlete,” as these young men prepare for life beyond the playing field.

Hanna was inspired through his years of teaching in Baltimore City at Cristo Rey High School. He started the Cristo Rey Lacrosse Program which is the focus of the documentary titled, “Chasing The Win.”

Matt Hanna captained The Johns Hopkins lacrosse team and was an All Star in the MLL, playing for the Denver Outlaws.

Andy Walsh, Advisor

Andy started playing lacrosse in 1978 for the Summit Lacrosse Club. He was part of two State Championships at Summit High School in both 1981 and 1983. After high school, Andy went on to play for legendary coach Tommy Thomsen at Denison University. Andy also played in Manchester England with Denison in 1987. Upon graduation from Denison in 1986, Andy was selected to play in the South Australian Lacrosse League, playing for The Stuart Lacrosse Club. He also helped coach the U-17 program there. Andy was also an Assistant Coach at Denison in 1988.

Andy has stayed involved with lacrosse his entire adult life and currently coaches the Darien Lacrosse Association (involved since 2006). Andy’s message to kids is that friendships are all that matter…

Allison D’Anjou, Advisor

A Baltimore native, Allison D’Anjou graduated from St. Paul’s School for Girls (SPSG) in 2002 as a three-sport letter winner in field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse. In lacrosse she was named a Towson Times Honorable Mention All-Star her senior year, and played for four years with the Baltimore All-Star club team.

D’Anjou continued her lacrosse career at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY where she earned four varsity letters. As an attacker, D’Anjou was ranked as one of the nation’s top freshmen, posting a Cornell freshman record and seventh-place national ranking with 28 assists. As a sophomore she ranked among the nation’s leaders in assists for the second year in a row, and she ranked third in the Ivy League with a team high 20 assists. In addition to being a leading passer, D’Anjou was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week in 2004 after scoring game winning goals against Ohio State and University of Pennsylvania.

D’Anjou also held Cornell women’s lacrosse records for most assists in a game, most assists in a season, and most career assists.

As a senior she served as tri-captain, helping the Big Red go undefeated at home and win the Ivy League Title. A caption from her Cornell player bio reads, “Schindler is the complete package on offense and has become one of the nation’s top feeders from behind the cage. Deceptively strong and quick, she has the ability to generate and run the offense in the Big Red’s schemes.”

D’Anjou currently lives in Manhattan and is a former member of the New York Athletic Club (NYAC) women’s lacrosse team.

Forrest Lindekens, Advisor

Forrest grew up playing lacrosse for Fox Lane in Bedford, NY before heading South of the Mason-Dixon to graduate from Salisbury University. He currently helps companies bring new services to market and engages in various consulting projects.

His operational lacrosse experience stems from serving on the board and as CSO for Trilogy Lacrosse, as well as advisory/board work for the Next One Up Foundation. His passions include his family & dog Scout, partnering with veterans through Team RWB and the Adaptive Sports Foundation, surfing, skiing and anything that affords him access to nature.

“Fog Lax speaks to me – more than just honing your skills on the field,  you’re encouraged to be a multi-sport athlete and focused student. The friendships, character development, & general sports acumen are every bit as important to these coaches as the technical skills associated with the game.”
